Project Socialization is a success

Whitney sure has had her share of interactions with people lately and it seems her fear of strangers is quickly fading.  She is still picky about HOW someone holds her but at least she will let people other than her mom and dad cuddle her.  Over the weekend she had opportunities to visit with GG, and GGpa at their house as she is home from Chesterwood now.  We saw Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Kelley and Aunt Megan on Saturday and on Sunday we visited with Gammy, Papaw, Aunt E, Uncle Jay and JJ!!  JJ was even nice enough to let Whitney borrow his rocking chair while we ate dinner, in the picture below he was demonstrating how Nini (his nickname for Whit) should use it:)

Not sure this is going to be helpful when leaving her for the first time next month but nobody can say we didn't try!!!

I had to take the Praxis this weekend and was gone from 7 a.m. until around 10:30 a.m.  This really was a test for Whitney and Daddy as they have never had that time of the day alone yet!!  As you know from reading other blog entries, she is picky about how things happen and who does it with her but thankfully Ryan had success with her and no tears were shed, from either of them haha!!  Whitney even went down for a nap for him and took two bottles!!  Wahoo for turning corners:)

Just today we went for a play date at the Keim's house.  I had Chloe and Mia in my kindergarten classroom and hopefully I will be lucky enough to have Allie in my room as well.  They were nice enough to have us over for a visit and Whitney let each of the girls hold her and even broke out a few smiles.

The sweet girls got Whitney her first tea set and a Sandra Boynton book that we are so excited to read.  She is becoming our favorite author!!  While we were there another great family from school (The Centofanti's) stopped by to see Whit.  It is always so nice to see familiar happy faces and spend some quality time with nice families!!!  In total there were six youngsters running around and Whit was mesmerized by all the commotion!!  She was so tired when we left that she was asleep before we even left the neighborhood!!!
