This weeks word is HI :)  She says it on her phone, to the TV, to our cat, her dolls as well as strangers we see out and about, it is adorable.  Whit also loves to make animals noises now.  Her favorites are: cow, dog, cat, monkey, donkey, frog and sheep.  It amazes us how fast she learns them!!  Grandma was even shocked today at lunch when Whitney said the word "more" as she signed it for more yogurt! She also loves "cuddling" pillows and dolls.  It came about one afternoon when mommy and daddy were tired  and Whit was hanging with us on the couch.  We laid her on a pillow and she giggled so hard and thought it was hysterical to get back up into a sitting position.  Our couch is leather and she really slides around on it so she thinks its pretty fun.  Every time she sees a pillow now it is a race to jump on it and cuddle:)  Whitney is getting stronger and stronger when standing too.  She stands for long periods of time at her...

First Birthday

Whitney Marie is ONE!!!   Hard to believe that a year ago I sat holding Whitney wondering how I could love someone so much!!  I would wonder what her personality would be like, what the sound of her laugh would be, what her first words would be and even when she would start moving...  In the blink of an eye our little one grew and is not so little anymore.  She is moving all over the place, has opinions, talks up a storm and brightens our days beyond belief.  You hear parents say, every stage of their life just gets better and better and it is so true.  We will say, "this is our favorite stage", and then the next milestone comes and we are saying that again!!  Nothing could be more rewarding then watching her during her party though.  She knew she was the little princess and enjoyed it all so much!!  It all started after her nap when she came down and saw the house decorated.  She pointed to the tablecloth/plates/napkins and said "WOW"...

Last fun filled weekend before the big ONE

As always our weekends tend to fill up fast but Whitney has really done well rolling with the punches.  I remember in earlier months she would cry the entire time we were away from home, or sometimes even cry at home for no reason and there was nothing we could do to appease her.  The past couple of months has been so different as she actually likes being out and interacting with people.  This weekend we had lunch with daddy at work, took her car for a ride outside, hung out with Grandma and Aunt Kel, celebrated Tyler's birthday, cheered on XU and the Bengals, and got her one year old pictures taken.  It was a busy weekend but fun none the less. Whit also found the steps this weekend and has a new found obsession with the sweeper cord:)  haha oh the joys of a one year old!! Enjoying the warmer January weather in her new car Roxy went whizzing past her the other day and she was so close to the stairs that she saw how she did it...and of course fo...
