Play Date with Ellie

Image
The last time all six of us got together, Ellie was so little she couldn't even hold her neck up!!  It was fun seeing the girls interact with each other, although Whitney didnt seem to want Ellie to touch her:)  Whit was very intrigued by their dog, Loey, a lab.  Not sure Whitney has seen a dog this big and when Loey first came out Whit yelled, "HORSE!!"  haha Although Whit doesn't look too enthused, she had fun watching a video with Ellie.   Staying far enough away that Ellie can't reach her haha Playing together:) The girls and their daddies!! Just had to put this one in there -- look Ellie was only about a month old here and Whit was 9 months.....crazy how time flies!!!

Weekend fun with Daddy!

Image
When Ryan is home, it is all about him.  It is too cute, honestly I can be sitting right next to her and she will run across the room just to share her book with Daddy.  Melts my heart:) Here she is relaxing in her chair with Daddy after a long week. Cleaning with Daddy -- you would think she would be afraid of the sweeper but she gets giddy when we take it out! She loves to sit in her "chair" next to daddy and cuddle with her babies. Wearing her sunglasses just like Daddy She loves her chair....sits in it every chance she gets! Relaxing on the floor like Daddy watching Mickey Mouse Club House! So sleepy -- patting daddys arm while she rests Whitneys new thing is to color.  I cannot believe it but a few days this week she actually colored for close to 45 minutes!!  She loves it.  She will pick out a color for herself and then say, "mama color" and hand me the one she wants me to use.  LOVE IT!

The Bishop girls

Image
Whitney has grown so attached the the Bishop girls, she talks about the constantly.  Jenny and I think we are going to have to plan weekly play dates just so she can get her fill.  Oh and we cant forget Tucker, the dog, he will also need to be included because Whitney talks about him just about as much as Jenny and the girls:) Whitney and Emma enjoying an afternoon snack.  Jenny says that as soon as Emma gets home Whitney knows it is snack time.  She will not eat bagels at our house but if Emma is eating them...well then:) Last weekend The Bishop family hosted a fundraiser that helps feed students in Mason Schools.  They called it, Paint Your Hearts Out, and every person who came got to paint and take home their masterpiece.  Whitney LOVES painting thanks to Jenny and above is her work of art.  You can even see in the bottom right her signature....W for Whit:) While Whitney painted she would repeat each color I said was on her br...

A relaxing weekend

Image
Its not often that we have nothing going on during the weekends so we made sure to cherish this last one.  We seemed to be able to fill the "empty" time very easily though:) Whitney is very good at communicating her wants/needs but is not quite old enough to understand the why behind our answers!!  Thus the reason why we are experiencing "the terrible twos" right now.  I shouldn't say the "terrible" twos because she really isn't that bad, we just wish she could understand why we are telling her no:)   Right now two of her very favorite things are swinging and being the social butterfly of the neighborhood and when she doesn't get to experience those things she gets very upset.  The kids go out to recess behind our house around 10:15 every morning and you better believe that Whit is right by the window saying, "schwing" (swing) over and over again because the big kids are swinging to their hearts content.  Also anytime she hears a la...

Newly Finished Basement

When Whitney goes to sleep now she asks for me to say "boom boom" and although I know she is referring to the sound a heart beat makes, I kind of think she might be comforted now by the sound of a hammer.... ;) We have endured five weeks of pounding, dust and visitors galore....but it was well worth it in the end.  We are thrilled with the new space!!  Whitney did ask for Tim several times today as I am sure she is sad about not being able to say hi to him every day!!! I think she got over it when she was finally allowed down stairs without shoes on to run around.  She had so much fun kicking and chasing after her ball that I was actually able to get a load of laundry in without her notice I was even in the other room!!! Free at last..... Checking everything out... Getting ready to kick the ball to mommy! Our desk..that is actually painted already  but this is an old picture. The tub in the laundry room but again this was taken before the washer and dryer...

Happy Easter

Image
Yesterday we both mentioned how lucky we are to have both of our parents within 30 minutes of us.We had such a great Easter with everyone and Whitney was such a trooper.  She is very tired today but it was well worth it to spend all of that quality time with our loved ones.  Megan and Caleb were missed a ton but thanks to technology we were able to see their faces and catch up for a little bit:) Brunch at my parents house was delicious and fun as we caught up with family and all watched as Whitney ran around the house after Jasper.  It is funny how entertained we are by her and we wondered what it is we did before at family gatherings?!  Dinner at Kyle and Lori's was great as well as the Easter egg hunt with JJ and Bryce.  Whit didn't fair too well with the egg hunt at either house but am sure she will get the idea next year!! She learned how to say "Happy Easter" which sounded more like, "Happy Estr" but we got the idea.  She has not stopped saying Papaw...
