Christmas

The month of December is always packed full with parties, school events and more!  It is such a fun time and I am so happy to say that we were all healthy and ready to take on all the fun this year!!

We usually kick off the Christmas holiday celebrations with Skeldon cousin PJ party!  Aunt Elaine and Uncle Jay supply the PJ's each year and it is one of our favorite traditions!  This year we had our first annual mom and me gift exchange in the neighborhood as well as an adult movie night to view Christmas Vacation -- apparently this was planned for me since I have never seen this and it shocked many of my neighbors!!!

We left the Obannon neighborhood because we never felt a sense of community and quite frankly there were hardly any kids near us at all!  Jackson Woods is amazing and any questions we had about moving here were quickly pushed away.  We had many firsts this year but one of my favorite things has been seeing the kids get along so well.  In December all the kids got together and put on a concert for everyone on Christmas Eve.  An older, college aged neighbor, helped them build a backdrop and stage for their performance.  It was such a cool experience for all and Im sure we will have many more of these concerts in years to come!

Our realtor has a Christmas party rather than send out gifts to her costumers.  She really does a fabulous job with santa, a magician, live animals, a balloon artist, carriage rides and more!!  It was a very memorable afternoon and Meredith sat on santa's lap for the first time this year.  Well okay she has unwillingly sat on his lap while screaming before but this time was the first smile and chat the man in the red suit!

With Meredith being in preschool this year we were so excited to experience her first Christmas program!  I honestly thought she would cry and not even get on stage but she was so into it and loved signing her songs!!!!  So proud of how brave she is and amazed at how much she loves her school!!

Caleb and Megan were here the weekend before Christmas and we had such a great time spending quality time with them since they are so far away!  The girls loved their time with them :)

Christmas Eve and Day were filled with great family time and food as usual.  We were all spoiled with love and gifts and again were all HEALTHY!!! Whitney begged for a Kindle and Meredith a barbie house with a garage door that actually opens and closes.....Santa was a good listener and to say they were excited would be an understatement!
