Winter fun!

Our winter hasn't really been a typical winter but we will take it.  Warmer temperatures are always better in my opinion, in the winter that is!  When we weren't sick or hiding away from germs we had some fun things going on.  Xavier games to watch, enjoying the mild temps with walks, playing with balloons inside and even chalk...messy messy chalk:)

Catholic Schools week was fun!  It was a different theme each day and Whit thought it was cool to be out of uniform so much.  She also liked the special treats and pep rallys they had during the fun week.  The best part for the whole family was the open house.  Whitney was able to show us around her classroom and school.  A piece of her art work was also chosen to be on display in the gym!!  She was very proud.  Meredith loved it!  It was hard to tear her away from each classroom we visited.....I think she is more than ready for school haha!!!

At school there was also the 100th day celebration and Valentine's Day Party that I got to help out with.  I love going into school and helping out, its also so neat to see Whitney in her environment, hard to imagine that the beginning of the year was so rough!

Another fun adventure was taking one of Ryan's colleagues out to dinner.  Chong is from Malaysia and came to Cincinnati for work and Ryan's boss said since it was Friday evening, he should invite the family to dinner with him.  At first the girls were nervous, as we dont usual dine with people we don't know but it turned out to be a great experience.  The girls learned that its nice to meet new people, help out someone in need and also about a different culture.  Chong is originally from Malaysia but also has a house in Australia that his family lives in.  Whitney had lots of questions and learned a lot from him.  Meredith joined in at the end and really starting being goofy which made everyone laugh!    

Here's to hoping the rest of the winter is as mild as it has been!
