Preparing for Christmas

We love Christmas time and the excitement that builds as it gets closer and closer each day.  There is something about a twinkling tree with Pentatonix Christmas music playing in the background that makes us all so happy! (if you don't know what Pentatonix is....do yourself a favor and goggle them, you will not be sorry!)

The month of December was packed with so many activities that we had to split up sometimes to accomplish them all!  One night in particular, I took Whitney to a party to visit Santa in Dayton while Meredith experienced her second Xavier game with Daddy!

The Christmas season kick off has recently been at Aunt Elaine and  Uncle Jay's house for the cousin PJ party.  The kids love their matching PJs as well as the snacks and movie time that follows.  Both girls were sick the start the month but they were troopers and battled through so that we could enjoy as much as possible!  The rest of the month included Mom and Me movie night, cookie baking, trips to see Santa and school parties!

Whit got to see Santa a few times but I took both girls just once together and it didn't go well haha!  Meredith was all talk, she said she was going to stand next to Santa, not touch him but most definitely talk.  First bad thing was the enormous line we had to wait in before even seeing the man in red.  Thankfully Papaw came along with us and was able to distract the girls while I waited.  About five people to go Meredith was scared and wouldn't let me put her down.  So as you can imagine when I set her next to Whitney....far away from Santa, she did not like it one bit.  She tried to run away and when I asked her to stay still for a minute to get a picture she began to cry.  Poor thing.  Later she told me that she didn't like being close to him and didn't like his hat?!  haha maybe next year!
