Update on the girls
Meredith is 15 months!!!
Little Meredith isn't so little anymore. She is such a big girl. No more bottles, shes finally sleeping all night, using a fork, running all over the place and starting to talk! Her personality is coming out so much too. She's goofy, loves to laugh and does everything her big sister does. Meredith also LOVES to eat. She honestly would eat all day if you would let her. Her favorites are: pizza, peanut butter and jelly, peas, green beans, pears, girlled cheese, CHEESE, yogurt and of course bananas! She enjoys being outside in her little house, playing peek-a-boo, riding in her wagon or car and swinging. What she mostly does though is empty the garage out. haha. She will go in and take out every toy that is in there and sit on each of them. She is perfectly content to go from each toy and not even interact with anyone.
She has some words, most of the words you have to be around her a lot to actually know what she means but she is getting there. Whit, Ryan and I know what she means so that is what matters at this point.
She is saying:
mama
dada
nae nae (whit)
mam (mamaw)
bub (bubbles)
gock (sock)
shhhh (shoe)
yuck
Mur (mere)
cheese
bus
hi
byebye
night night
She can make the following animal sounds:
cow, dog, sheep, monkey, horse, tiger, frog, elephant
And she is starting to repeat after us. She will say down, or back (get down or be back). Its so nice to hear her voice!
Meredith also loves to dance to Taylor Swift and Zac Brown. Its funny that she sees elmo and is mesmerized but when you turn on Shake it off or Homegrown she starts dancing. Good taste huh?
She still loves brushing her teeth and getting her shoes on. She's still pretty fussy at night and fixing any meal alone with her is really hard. She is working on five teeth right now (last molar and her four i teeth) so we know that is painful.
At her appointment she weighed in at 24 lbs and was 31.25 inches long. (75% for both and her head circumference is off the charts hahaha, big ol brain in there. She is a healthy growing girl that we love spending our days with!!
Whitney is 4.5
Whit is as busy as ever. She wakes up and starts writing or working on a project right away. She loves school and playing outside with her friends and really enjoys playing with Meredith. She is finally at that age that they can play together! She is very into writing right now and has even made a few books. Ive worked really hard to teach her how to write like I did my kindergartners. It is hard to not give in and tell her how to spell everything but it is paying off, as she is already hearing beginning, middle and ending sounds in words all on her own! I love her confidence in her ability to read and write! She writes her first and last name with the appropriate case, can write all letters and numbers and is recognizing her sight words really well!
She got her hair cut short because she doesn't want me brushing it but still loves to accessorize and paint her nails. In fact she wants lots and lots of nail polish for Christmas she said.... ha!
Whitney holds her own with all the big kids in the neighborhood. She is the youngest out of the group of girls that get together but she plays with them like she is one of the gang. They love playing different forms of tag, cops and robbers, house, or some kind game with balls. It is awesome to see her cooperating with kids and growing up before our eyes!
