Whitney's First Day of Preschool

We decided to send Whitney to school last year, one day a week, in order to prepare her for going to school this year. We knew being away from mommy at school along with getting a new baby sister was going to rock her world and we wanted to get a head start on the whole process and ease her into it.

It was pretty awful at first and to be honest from January until May she cried every Friday she had school.  Sometimes starting at dinner the night before and all through her day at school.  I even had to stay there and check in on her because she was so hysterical at times.  However the very last day of school she didn't cry and seemed excited to be there, figures right??

I mentioned little things about school all summer long to make sure she knew it was coming so that she could prepare herself.  She honestly seemed quite excited about it, which pleased us because I was not sure how I could handle a hysterical three year old and a baby!

Whitney LOVES school.  No tears, no worries and is actually bouncing off the balls before we leave for school because she is so excited!  What a relief haha!!!

She goes Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:45-11:15.  Her teachers name is Mrs. Abby and she has the same assistant teacher as last year, Mrs. Shelly.  The name of her class is the Rainbows and of course she is always drawing rainbows any chance she can get!  Her teacher loves music and plays it all day long apparently, which  makes Whit happy because she loves to sing and dance.  She has already made a friend named Emma and we actually ran into her at the park the day after school which only solidified the fact that they were going to be friends.  They are too cute together!
