Meredith is TWO!

Two years??  Wow!  Meredith will be the first to tell you..."Merith two and Whitey five." :) Each day she wakes up asking for a candle to blow out in her cereal and says, "my birfday TODAY!!!!"

She is quite the talker these days, even using complete sentences more often than not.  Meredith will tell these elaborate stories and you better hope you know what shes talking about because she will soon leave you in her dust!!  The cutest thing right now is hearing the two girls sing the vacation bible school songs we learned last week.  Mere loves chanting, I love Jesus.  If you ask her who Jesus is she will say, "a people at church"  !!

She LOVES being at home.  Even if she is excited to go somewhere, like the zoo or KI, as soon as you get there she says, "go home pease."  I think she is a homebody like her mama!  She loves to play on her own with her babies.  She carries them around, packs her purse and takes them shopping, or changes their smelly diapers.  Meredith also loves playing hide and seek with Whitney but won't stay hidden for long...she likes to yell, "HERE ME IS!!!!"  Although she would rather be at home one of her most favorite things to do is go to Kings Island.  She LOVES riding the rides, her favorite being bumper cars even though she drives in circles waiting for someone to bump into her!

Unlike her sister, she does not like to read.  She will sit for very short periods of time and flip through a book on her own but not if someone else is trying to read.  I love my reading time with Whitney, in fact when Whitney was two, we would read all kinds of books for hours everyday.  Mere wants to be rolling on the ground doing somersaults, jumping or wrestling.  

Mere will sometimes see the letter M and say, "M for Meredith."  but just with books she isn't interested in learning right now!  Meredith loves puzzles and can work them like a champ!  She loves playing her Ipad and is getting really consistent with colors.  She can count to ten and sing most of the ABC's.  The thing that surprises me the most is how much she remembers and pays attention to when we are driving.  She will say Kroger or preschool when we pass the correct buildings.  Even recognizing Larosas, saying PIZZA or her favorite Holtman's donuts!  She knows where mamaw's street is and even says, "old house" when we get close to our old neighborhood.  These kids listen and see everything haha!

Mere is a pretty good sleeper compared to her sister!  She still needs me to lay in her room when she is falling asleep at night but once she is asleep she doesn't need me until the morning (most nights). She also takes 2 hour naps almost everyday with some being an hour and a half.  She doesn't seem to mind it and will go right to sleep for her naps!  

She is a mama's girl!  She wants her mom and if I am gone it can get ugly.  We have had a few sitters that aren't family and it doesn't always fair well for them.  Thankfully she does well for her grandparents!  Meredith is a really good eater when she wants to be, like today for instance, she ate TWO full peanut butter sandwiches for lunch!!!!!

My mom and I like to say that Meredith is like a cat.  If you want her to do something she will most likely look in the other direction and completely ignore you.  But you better believe that she will do that task ten minutes later because it was HER idea hahaha!  She is super stubborn and does not like to lose any battle, whether that be getting out of the car, walking through the store at a snails pace, sharing, saying goodbye, eating her food, listening to anything I say.......

But for real Meredith is a character, she is so silly and happy 99.9% of the time.  She just is very opinionated and does not like when someone tries to change what is happening. :)
