Play dates galore
With summer in full swing Whit and I have enjoyed many play dates, sometimes even two play dates in one day!!!! She certainly is getting her fill of social interaction!
We've been to run jump and play, the zoo, the library, the park and many friends houses on those hot days:)
Here is Whit at Run Jump and Play sitting on the parachute. I think she was a little overwhelmed by all of the play things in one room, she just kept walking around touching everything.
Emma and Caroline were so sweet to help Whit on the trampoline...I am sure they didnt want to spend their time jumping so softly!!
Whitney could barely contain her excitement while the girls bounced. Hilarious!
Playing inside one of the many play houses inside this place, Im thinking this might be a gift for her birthday this year:)
As I mentioned in a previous post, we spend a lot of time in the shade and this is one of the things she loves to do in our back yard. She is getting better at keeping the sand in the box but I think it is just more exciting to throw it on the ground. haha:)
Whitney has also started testing mommy. She will deliberately do something, look at me, and wait to see what I will do. Two of her favorites are standing on furniture and pouring out her milk. Terrible twos?
Whitney was in heaven watching Emma, Caroline and Anna play Just Dance on the wii. She even joined in a little bit later!
Got a new vacuum, and although Whit loves to "scheep" she seemed to enjoy the box it came in better then anything.
Swimming with Daddy at Gammy and Papaws house.
Reading a book with Gammy in her favorite chair!
Trying on hats at DSW...really trying to occupy her so that she would stop pulling and throwing every pair of shoes she found:)
Play date at the park with Will, Jamison and Graham.
We went to the zoo last Tuesday, the last cool day we will probably have this summer, and had a blast. Whit even said she was cold:) The animals were all so active which made the trip even more exciting. Below is a polar bear that was playing with this bucket. It was so fun to watch, he would put his head in it and go swimming and put up and chase the bucket after it flew away. Whitney was mesmerized.
That same day after her nap we decided to have a picnic in our backyard to take advantage of the cooler weather. She loved it:)
Later in the week we met a former student of mine at the park. Whitney was more interested in the big trucks driving by on the road then she was in playing. Silly girl!
We also went to visit baby Ryan. Whit wanted to lay under his toy with him and she liked it, until he started to cry....then she was like Im outta here!!! She talks about baby Ryan everyday now though and wants to go back to tickle his toes:)
