Kings Island

P&G Dividend day is what we look forward to each year.  Ryan and I haven't had passes since high school so this is a treat!!  And we are so thankful my parents and Kelley share their tickets with us each time.  Whitney remembers it from last year and has been dying to go all summer.  We pass it a lot when we drive to mason for certain things, and she just stares out the window remembering the rides she liked.

We didn't buy passes this year for several reasons.  One being that for most of the summer I was having troubles with the sun and didn't think standing in line or going to the water park with that condition would be very wise:).  And two, because Whitney hasn't been all that accepting of rides in the past.  This year though, we told her if she liked the rides we would buy a pass for her!

Guess what..... SHE LOVED IT!!  She rode everything with a smile on her face and when she got off of one ride, ran to another!!  I was shocked because even in the beginning of August she was scared to go on anything at the festivals.  Maybe it is just the magic of KI!!?!

My favorite part was when Kelley (remember who suggested it later...it was indeed Kelley :) ) suggested that we go on the log flume ride with Whitney.  Bret and I opted out so Mom, Kel, Ry and Whit went.  Just to tell you it was like 60 degress -- notice the sweatshirts and long sleeves.  Someone said Ive been wathcing and havent seen anyone get really wet, so we will be okay.  And I will attest to that, while waiting to take picutres of them coming down, I noticed not one set of riders were shaking water off when they came down.....until my family:)

The problem was weight distribution.  Look who was in the front....heaviest person....not the best idea!!  Ryan got wet but it was Kelley who was drenched.  They were all laughing so hard.  Whit still (three weeks later) says, "remember when Kelley got to most wet on that ride???"  and she has a good laugh.  So even though I wasn't on the ride and didn't spend the rest of the day freezing, I think it was worth it!

Another part of the day that I loved was when Whitney went on the airplanes.  We were a little nervous because it looked like it could go pretty  high and fast but she was all for it.  Funniest thing was that as soon as Whitney got on the ride, she started pumping that handle up and down, which is turn made her immediately rise to the top.  NONE of the other kids figured it out so they all stayed on the bottom while unbeknownst to her, she was working it!!! haha!!
:)

Thanks Mom, Bret, and Kelley for letting us have an amazing day at KI!
