Papaw's Birthday
Finally a weekend we could get in the pool and enjoy -- well everyone but me haha. I really shouldnt complain because my issues with the sun are not that bad but goodness avoiding sunlight is tough...esp with an active two year old!!! I was under the umbrella with a towel wrapped around me and still spent the next night and day itching like crazy!!
Whitney is in love with swimming now and it is too cute to watch her and Ryan together. Often after work he takes her to our neighborhood pool to swim for a bit so she will get her fill this summer, I am sure!! She is doing really well in the water considering she has never had lessons. She can swim several feet (with her puddle jumper on) by herself. She gets so tired haha its cute! Jumping in is her favorite thing to do but doesn't enjoy going under at all. It was funny to watch Ryan's face this weekend when she wanted to go off the diving board.....not the easiest thing to do -- catching a toddler that doesn't want to go under while you can't touch haha:)
Whit and Papaw were looking for owls all weekend while Ryan and I were away, so of course when we went back over, she had to explore too. You cant see the picture very well but I caught them while they were both doing the " hooo hooo " face!
Mom and Bret won this alien at a local festival and Whitney loved it. She played with it all afternoon. She even made Mamaw put shoes on him to walk around the deck.
The fun didnt stop that evening though, we met up with JJ, Caroline, and Aunt Elaine at the aquarium on Monday. Whitney had been once before and has been asking to go back...however she was very disappointed that Scuba Santa wasnt there:)
And last, here is Whitney's new favorite activity. Play and I guess more specifically reading to her babies. She plays with her babies ALL day long (she has seven baby dolls). Whitney lines them up, feeds, changes, makes them nap, and then repeats!!! Hilarious to watch but she adds in reading every now and again....
Here is my lil naked girl having fun with Mamaw. Of course, taking care of her babies. She loves her some Mamaw time...thank goodness I have my panels at the consumer village to them time each week to bond:)
