Finding our Groove
The honeymoon period has worn off as we approach the end of our third week of school. What was exciting and energizing at first is now becoming tiring and overwhelming. Although I am still trying to work out my schedule and how I can juggle being a mom, wife and teacher all in the same day, little miss Whitney is doing wonderfully. She adjusted so quickly to life at the Bishop house and greets me every afternoon with a smile. She adores Jenny, Emma and Caroline and is exhausted by days end. She sometimes needs to take a cat nap before she eats dinner because she is so worn out. Perhaps that is from all the excitement but it could also stem from the fact that she is no longer loving her long naps! We are getting maybe 20-30 minutes out of her and therefore she is awake from around 2:00 until she goes to bed at 7:00!!
It is still early in the school year so I am hoping that in the next few weeks we can get all the kinks out and feel comfortable with our new situation. Thank goodness for Jenny and an understanding husband...without that I would be up a creek without a paddle;)
Playing the piano with Emma!
Riding in the stroller to get Emma from the bus stop...good thing Jenny kept some of her baby clothes, they are perfect for Whit on day when her mommy doesn't dress her warm enough haha.
This is Whitney on an afternoon where she didn't nap very well. After a long screaming car ride home she finally fell asleep on my chest. Whew!!
Whitney is also getting ready to start crawling!! Ryan and I, not knowing what this will mean for our future days, are so very excited for this event to occur. She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth but then tires quickly and lays her head down on the floor to rest. Im sure she will be all over the house before we know it!!!
