More Summer Fun

Sometimes you just have to embrace the heatwave and go outside even if you want desperately to stay indoors.  You all know me, and my girls take after me unfortunately, and I cannot stand to be hot so it was challenging at some points during this summer to be pushing a heavy stroller but we did it and made some great memories along the way.  We did make some stops at the mall, chuck e cheeses, ice cream shops and random targets to escape the heat but most often we braved it!

The zoo was a very cool experience, seeing the elephants in the water and up so close is not something we will soon forget.  It was so hot that even Meredith was crying for ice and air which is unusual for her but we loved our time with Betsy and her boys.  They were even nice enough to pay for the girls to feed the giraffes.....I somehow left my wallet on the counter at home!!!!

We spent quite a bit of time in our pool.  Not sure what we would have done without that this summer.  We usually tried to do something outside in the morning and then went up to the pool after Meredith's nap until dinner time.  They both have become very good little swimmers and love playing with all of the kids that frequent the pool too!
