Sisters
Spring has sprung and we survived the cold, cold winter! I didn't know if we could handle one more cold or sleepless night so we are all glad to have turned the corner. I am happy to report that Meredith went 16 straight days sleeping through the night!!! It was amazing and I have never felt so good. The streak has since ended with the pending arrival of her two new teeth but I am hopeful we can get back there. We have to because I enjoyed that sleep so very much!
Whitney has one more week of two day preschool left at Lakeview then its onto a summer filled with camps, vacations and fun with friends. I am sure we will like the lack of a schedule for awhile, especially Mere since she doesn't like being in her car seat!
Whitney is such a great big sister. She is so patient and kind and just loves to cuddle with Meredith. Mere doesn't often leave Whitney alone but she really takes it in stride and honestly has done a great job at sharing everything, and I mean everything with her sister. Whit has become very independent this last year. She loves to dress herself, brush her teeth and hair and even sometimes get her own food! It creates some challenges like messy hair and mismatched outfits but I can look the other way because I know she is so proud of herself for doing those things! She has two more soccer games after Memorial Day weekend but says she would rather take dance classes next year. This girl dances all the time. Like constantly! And sings too. She is one happy go lucky little girl!
Mere's little personality is coming out more everyday. She is a very happy and content little baby and we saw so much more of her smiley face when she was sleeping all night...what a difference it made for all of us! She is standing up anywhere she can and is even taking steps. One of her favorite things to do it wrestle with Whitney. She also loves to walk around the house with her walker or someones hands. I have a feeling it won't be long before she is cruising around this house! She LOVES to eat. Everything! The only food she has eaten and not liked is Asparagus. Whitney did not like to feed herself and cried whenever she got messy. Meredith is the complete opposite. She perfectly happy having a messy face.... :)
These girls are awesome and I am so very thankful that I get to spend my days being their mom!
I love everything about this!! Love being a mamaw to two amazing little girls who are so different in every way :)
