4 month check up
Meredith went in for her 4 month check up this week and she is a growing healthy girl! She weighed in at 16 lbs and 4 ounces. She was 25 inches long! (95% for weight, and 50% for height)
Her acid reflux is finally under control and she is spitting up a little less, but spit up isn't an indication of how she feels, even though I would like her to spit up less it really doesn't bother her.
Meredith is sitting up in her bumbo chair, the highchair and even on the floor with the boppy wrapped around her. She is so strong! When you hold her, she doesn't like to be laid down or sitting, she likes to stand and look around. She also rolls over to her side and kicks up her feet when on the floor. No rolling over yet but I have a feeling it is coming soon.
She has a tight grasp and grabs onto anything that is in front of her, including her sister's hair! She is also starting to laugh. Her first laughing fit happened when Whitney was throwing a major tantrum. She apparently thought it was funny when Whit was banging her hands and feet on the floor, Whitney however did not find it amusing haha!!
We introduced rice cereal to her the other night and she liked it! She didn't really know what to think at first but she ended up eating it all up. The second night was a lot better, she even cried when I didn't feed her fast enough.
Mere is going about 12 hours without eating at night but she is not sleeping through the night yet. She is in the "dropping her paci and crying" stage.....really hard on mommy because it means I could be sleeping a lot more but am not! We are working on it though, thank goodness I still have the twin bed in her room because I spend a lot of time sleeping in there. She goes down around 7:30 p.m. and will sleep soundly until 2:00 a.m. Then it is on and off sleep for the rest of the night, which doesn't bode well for me! Hopefully she will start to settle herself a little more and she will sleep all night soon!
She is working on a tooth, however Dr. Zimmerly told us that it would most likely not come through in the next month or two. So the drool, hands in her mouth and fussiness will continue.
Other then when she gets sleepy at night, she is a super content baby that loves to laugh and smile.
