So big!

Meredith is changing before our eyes!  It is crazy how different she is from one week to the next.  We have met two families with babies born right before or after Mere, like literally the day before, and have compared sizes......  Mere didnt start out to big but she is 4 lbs heavier then both babies we saw!!!  Another friend posted on Facebook that her daughter was 14 lbs at her 6 month check up.......Uh Meredith is over 14 lbs and she isn't even 3 months old yet!! haha!!  I love it, I would much rather have a bigger, healthy baby then have to worry about their eating and if they are getting enough:)

She is such a laid back child.  She has really calmed down now with her meds and we are hoping the dreaded 7:00 melt downs are over.  She really only cries when she is super tired and lets face it, I kinda want to do that sometimes too!!  Meredith is going to bed around 8:00 and sleeps until about 1:00 then back down until 4 or 5.  It was a lot better before when she would go to bed later and only wake up once a night but I know we will get there again!  She starts to look tired and we take her up, swaddle her and walk out.  She asleep within seconds and doesn't need us to help her one bit.  Totally different from Whitney!

Mere likes to see what is going on and keep eyes on her sister at all times.  We started sitting her up with us at the dinner table and she likes it a lot!  It is hard for her to do for long periods of time because she spits up and just isn't ready for sitting quite yet; got to love modern technology though, the high chair relines so she can basically be at our level but lay down so it isn't hard on her neck...best of both worlds:)  She also started grabbing onto toys and bringing them to her mouth....sometimes she tries to fit more then one in there and others she just plain forgets about them and leaves them on her head and falls asleep!!

She is a spit up queen!  Whew, I think I may change my outfit more then she does which is quite often.  We soak through at least one bib after every feeding and my clothes are always spotted with spit up and smell lovely Im sure.

At Adrian and Will's wedding this past weekend I had spit up all over my dress, my hair was pulled up because it had spit up in it and I was in the bathroom trying to warm a bottle by running it under luke warm water.....not the best option.  But anyway, I don't even know who this girl was but she came over to me and said, "you are a good mom."  I looked at her and she continues, "I see you looking at your soiled dress and trying to quickly thaw a bottle for your little one and I just want you to know that you are a good mom.  Your child won't ever notice your messed up clothes, just that you love her so much..."  Brought tears to my eyes because I was sitting there thinking about how glamours I looked and that I would have liked to been socializing rather then standing in a public restroom for 10 minutes with a bottle, but it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.  I am happy because my girls are happy!!
