Live and Learn
Anyone who has had their house worked on knows that it isn't always easy and there are times when you reach "your limit" and things just go a little bonkers....Well that was tonight, all the house drama, on top of Whitney being sick and what happened after her bath tonight just sent me over the edge......
Nothing against anyone involved in the situation, it is just hard to have a one year old running and crawling around on a MESSY floor while trying to make dinner. Not to mention the loud banging and sawing going on right next to us. We knew what we were getting ourselves into with this and we could not ask for a better group of guys working in our house, honestly... I just probably needed to get out of the house and not try to cook dinner in the middle of all of it!!!
Wellllll.............
Whitney has been sick with an ear and eye infection and a little cold; nothing major but the poor thing has been having some belly troubles with the medicine. So today was finally it with her diaper rash, she too had reached her limit. When I called the doctor, the nurse suggested that I do many things to help her, one being to let her have a little "airing out" time from her diaper. I was a little nervous about this suggestion seeing as how just minutes before she told me the best thing to use instead of wipes (since they hurt her skin) were my BARE HANDS, until she wasn't as sensitive....should have known right there she wasn't one to trust!
I mentioned this to my mom on the way home and she causally said that she let my little sister run around without a diaper to help her diaper rash from time to time. So Im thinking well thats two people who say to do it so maybe we will try it. Against my better judgement, I said to Ryan, "let her walk around for a few minutes without her diaper to see if it will help and we will just have a game plan for if she pees a little." I wasn't too worried to be honest because she has just peed several times in the bathtub... :)
Our little Whitney heads straight for her room and to the corner... yep....you guessed it, she pooped ALL over her floor!!! We scared her to death running in there, grabbing her while screaming and dumping her right back into the tub. Needless to say, the rest of our night wasn't very pretty and that will NOT be happening again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LIVE AND LEARN:)
Here are a few pictures from the past week:
Whitney swinging at the park with Jenny, right before we took her to the doctor for her ear/eye infection.
Wearing mommy's shoes!
Our selection Sunday tradition...aww:)
Playing basketball like the big kids in the street. Broke my heart though because she wanted to go see the big kids and when I reached for her hand, she said "NO" and walked all by herself......oh my!
Lost interest in the ball and enjoyed looking at the sidewalk. Oh the small things in life.
Trying to figure out how to get up the step on our deck.
She did it!!
Running around the deck .... we have been spending a lot of time outside due to the craziness inside. Good thing it is nice outside!!
Her new tiger chair and instead of sitting in it, she wanted to sit so she could see it! Ha:)
Love the last picture!! Loves the chair so much she just wants to look at it? That is just down right cute!!
