Running with Daddy

So sad to see the weekend end! I am very thankful, however, that we got to spend a lot of valuable time with Whitney. She had her first experience in the pool (although it was somewhat of a non-event, as it only lasted about 30 seconds) and she tried sweet potatoes for the first time (and seemed to enjoy them...at least more than carrots!). However, the most memorable experience for me was our first run together in the jogging stroller.

On Sunday morning, I ran 5 miles on the Loveland bike trail. I'm sure it wasn't as memorable for Whitney, as she was asleep for 1/2 the run, but I took great pride in the smiles I received from nearly every passer-by. It seemed like every runner, jogger, walker, and biker slowed down and gave a smile. Some even gave her a compliment in passing. The added plus was the fact that the hour-long run gave Mommy some time to catch up on her sleep as she has been awakened several times the past few nights. I am such a proud father, and she brings us great joy!
