Easter 2019

Image
Easter is always such a nice holiday.  Great weather (sometimes), family parties and egg hunts.  This year I initiated a neighborhood egg hunt and the kids really had fun.  We collected so many eggs and we lucked out with some dry weather to get the hunt done.  The girls were spoiled with their baskets  from the Easter bunny as well as both sets of grandparents.   And since Whit goes to a catholic school, Easter signifies the beginning of spring break!  We were very excited for the fun weekend and then a relaxing week off of school!

Soccer

The girls played soccer this spring which made for a busy schedule.  Both had practice on Monday and Whit again on Wednesday then games on Saturday and Sunday.  I loved it and even though we had a lot of rain we were able to get all the games in...eventually! I was surprised that Meredith wanted to play since last time was a bit of a disaster but she did GREAT and loved it.  Her coach ended up being someone in our neighborhood which I think helped her!  She was timid but scored many goals and enjoyed celebrating those goals with ice cream!! Whits season was fun for her for the most part, but not the best in terms of coaching.  It was a long one with a young/inexperienced coach and some frustrated parents but we hung in there.  We are taking a break from soccer this next year as she wants to explore new sports such as volleyball and basketball at St. Columban.

Not only was it special because he built it but it held so many precious memories for all of us.  If I could have bought the home, I would have just to keep in the family.  A family ended up moving in and they get to make new memories in this house and I sure it hope it makes them as happy as it made our family. My mom spent so so many hours clearing out and cleaning the house.  My Grandma had a knack for keeping things, it was organized very well of course but there was just so much of everything!!  She kept every card we ever sent her, special articles about us or emails we wrote her, gift bags, wr...
