Kelley and Mike's Wedding!!!!

Image
Tuesday afternoon started off the wedding week!  Kelley and Mike rented out a house for us and showed off Lake Tahoe. We went to the beach and lake to play and check out the view, ate dinners on our large deck, took a hike and found some enormous pine cones.  We went to Martis Camp, where Mike's brother and sister in law have a house, swam at their pool and had our rehearsal at the ski lodge.  This was place was insanely nice and the ladies lounge where we got ready for the rehearsal and wedding was breathtaking.  We were pampered for sure. Kelley and Mike chose the ski lodge for the wedding destination.  No snow since it was so hot with the heat wave but the mountains and surrounding tress were beautiful.  Abby and Millie (5 and 2) are Mike's (and now Kelley's) nieces.  The four girls got along SO well.  It was great for them to have playmates while we were there.   For the wedding the four flower girls got to put on make up, wear c...

Our first attempt at flying was not successful.  We got there at 12:50 for our 3:45 flight, napped like a pro in the stroller and then our flight was delayed until 11:45 pm that evening!!!!  We decided not to stay at wait it out since we were so close to home.  It was a total bummer but its a good thing we came home because the plane didn't end up leaving until after 1:00 am!!!!!! We went back the same time the very next day and our flight was one time!  The flight out was okay.  Meredith was beyond tired and a five hour flight for her very first time flying was a long one!!  I packed what felt like a billion things to eat on the plane but even that wasn't enough!  There were lots of tears and some drama from both girls but we made it and that is what counts! We had to make a major detour, my fault with the directions, and ended up having to make an emergency stop for a potty break in the middle of rush hour traffic in downtown San Fran....not...

Whit and her friend had an awesome time at the basketball camp.  Whitney said her favorite part was seeing Coach Mack himself!  She walked right up to him and said, "hey you're my favorite coach!"  Ryan was bummed to not be able to stop by and see the camp because former basketball players and coach mack.....Come on now, dream come true!  She has found a new love of dribbling and even said I need to buy an indoor ball so she can dribble while she is watching TV:)

Countdown to summer

Image
The countdown to the end of the school year was fun!  We've never experienced summer break in the Skeldon household, in my opinion preschool doesn't really count because you barely go to school to begin with....so this is going to be a real, truly earned through hard work, summer for Whit! Her class did an ABC countdown using each letter of the alphabet to do something fun until the very last day.  Crazy hair, hat day, silly socks, bring a Frisbee or kite, Cincinnati Reds day,  western day and so many more.  It made the last month go by so quickly.   Also within that last month she had her last Daisy Troop meeting for the year and a field trip that her dad got to go on with her to the Cincinnati Children's Museum.  They had a blast and were BOTH very tired that evening! The last day of school was awesome.  She had some sadness about missing her teacher and friends but was more excited about summer and spending time at home with us!  W...
