Meredith's Two Month Check Up

Image
Meredith is doing so much better crying wise!!  Yay!  She rarely cries anymore and is making so many different sounds!  Her reflux seems to be under control although she still spits up like a crazy girl.  I really think I change my clothes more then she does!! She loves to smile and watch her sister.  Doesn't matter what Whitney is doing, Meredith's eye are wide open taking everything in.  There are times that Ryan and I cannot calm Mere down but Whitney comes into view and she is okay!  It really does melt your heart to see how much love they have for each other already! Meredith loves to snuggle.  When I finish feeding her, I will turn her around after a burp so that she is facing out and every time she wiggles her nose/face into my neck and literally sighs, almost like its just what she wanted.  I cannot resist that and smile every time......who wouldn't love a good snuggle right?  She is starting to grasp things and has been...

P&G Dividend Day!

Image
It has become a tradition for our family to go to Kings Island during the P&G weekend.  I remember those days fondly when I was young and now it is even more fun to share it with Whitney!  She loved showing everyone the rides she likes since I am the only one who takes her during the summer.  She had a blast riding with Papaw, Mamaw, Daddy and she even was lucky enough to get Aunt Kelley on a ride:)   We had perfect weather!  Well okay, I thought it was perfect, everyone else thought it might be a little chilly but whatever!!!  Ryan and I got to sneak away for a few and ride some of the big kid rides!  It was a nice break and fun to try out the new attractions we have heard so much about.  Can't wait until next year when Meredith is older and can ride a few of the rides with Whitney!

Loving Life

I love being a mom of two little girls. Even though I am bone tired and sometimes wish I could have adult conversation instead of listening to crying/whining on those hard day, I would never ever trade this for anything.  I am so thankful I get the chance to be home and see my girls grow up.  Its getting easier in terms of leaving the house and we have been able to venture out some which is good for all of us.  We've visited parks and various stores but on those days when it just feels easier to stay at home, we come up with a lot of creative things to do!!  Whit also just loves talking to or snuggling with Meredith.  Its just so cute to see the interaction that I often just sit there and smile!!

Whitney's First Day of Preschool

Image
We decided to send Whitney to school last year, one day a week, in order to prepare her for going to school this year. We knew being away from mommy at school along with getting a new baby sister was going to rock her world and we wanted to get a head start on the whole process and ease her into it.   It was pretty awful at first and to be honest from January until May she cried every Friday she had school.  Sometimes starting at dinner the night before and all through her day at school.  I even had to stay there and check in on her because she was so hysterical at times.  However the very last day of school she didn't cry and seemed excited to be there, figures right??   I mentioned little things about school all summer long to make sure she knew it was coming so that she could prepare herself.  She honestly seemed quite excited about it, which pleased us because I was not sure how I could handle a hysterical three year old and a baby!  ...

Meredith's Baptism

Image
What a special day!   We see baptisms happen at church often and always enjoy them but we felt special when we got to celebrate Meredith's baptism with just our family!  It was such a nice service and very personal.  Our immediate families were in attendance but we also had Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts and Great Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents and Great Grandparents.  Quite the group and the deacon even commented on how we were all so smiling and happy to be together!! Caleb and Lori were gracious enough to be Meredith's God parents and helped us in baptizing our special little girl!  Meredith slept the ENTIRE time.  She didn't even wake up when the water was poured on her head three times in a row!  Whitney was a big helper and did so well during the baptism, not easy to sit there and be quiet for 45 minutes. We all gathered at our house after and had a great time visiting and laughing.  Having Meredith's baptism at six weeks meant that ...
