Siesta Key

Image
Our annual Siesta Key trip was a blast as always.  We had some of the best weather we've ever had this time and it was refreshing!  Especially when it was rainy and cold at home. The flights were easy and painless and we even had two extra seats in our rows on the way home which made for some nice elbow room!  Meredith loved playing in the sand and Whitney was all about finding shells and being in the ocean.   Time spent with family and friends is always special but these trips are just good for the soul; beautiful scenery, amazing company, warm temperatures and yummy food make it even better! One of my favorite traditions while down there is our boat ride.  We rent a boat and cruise around the bay for several hours! Its a nice way to relax and see some really crazy big, beautiful houses!! Until next time Siesta Key :)

Halloween

Our Halloween was full of carving pumpkins, trunk or treats, class parties and of course trick or treating in the coolest neighborhood around! Some how we carved a little too early due to Dad and me carving night at Meredith's school and had to get rid of those well before Halloween.  We got to be professionals by the time we were down with our eighth pumpkin! Trunk or Treat at Meredith's school was fun and crowded!!  She got to see some friends and even got to get a treat from one of her teachers!  Whit had a school parade and party and looked so cute in her duck/chicken costume! Our neighborhood is small and is even more so now because we don't have all of the houses built so we decided as group to make Halloween super fun so that our kids wouldn't feel like we needed to go elsewhere to get enough candy.  Our firefighter neighbor set up for a fire truck and ambulance to come visit us before trick or treat; and the kids loved it!!  While tric...

Parties, plays and fall fun

Image
We had a busy fall but loved all the fun we had with friends and family!  The four of us won tickets to see the play, Charlotte's Web!  It was fun to go downtown and enjoy a show together!! During the fall months we had many parties for friends' birthdays, neighborhood get togethers and soccer tournaments!  We also managed to squeeze in some time at the pumpkin patch at the very end of October and were happy to have a rain free semi-warm day for it!!

Enjoying school

The girls are off to a great start this school year.  They both love their teachers plus they love reading and doing homework together!! Whitney got to be a special reader in Whitney's classroom this fall!  She was nervous at first but the kids thought she was the best and laughed at every page she read!!  Meredith sure was proud of her big sister!!
