Florida

Image
The plane ride down to Tampa was thankfully uneventful.  We arrived at lunch time ready to play and soak up the sun!  With our family, the days on our trip to Siesta Key consist of beach time, pool time, more beach time and sunset before family dinner.  Its relaxing and so much fun to spend uninterrupted family time at such a beautiful place. Captain Curt's, Daquari Deck and the Orange Octopus are places we visit, usually more than once on our trip.  Thanksgiving dinner on the beach is the only thing I've ever known and I wouldn't have it any other way.  Our annual boat trip was highlighted this year with an AMAZING dolphin show and warm weather!  And even though there was some rainy weather this year we still made the most of it.  The girls LOVED jumping the waves and swimming with their mermaid barbies in the pool with their friend Aurora.  Although the trip home did not start as planned (not naming names but someone ACCIDENTALLY threw the...

One last peek

Image
We went to the house last night for one final peek before we head to FL.  We knew this week would bring a lot of changes but weren't sure exactly what would be there.   We found: All our lights turn on!!! Working toilets backslash in kitchen shelves up in pantry and all closets floors uncovered so we could see how beautiful they are and carpet!!!!! Still some work to be done while we are gone but it is really starting to take shape.  Hard to believe that when we get back after Thanksgiving, we have less than week left in the apartment!

House Update

We are getting so CLOSE!  This week is going to be packed full with all the plumbing, carpet, trim, gutters, siding and kitchen backslash. Last week we saw light fixtures and banisters up as well as our main floor laminate.  We chose wood laminate for its durability.....the girls all but destroyed the hard wood in our last house!!  They also finished the tile work in the bathrooms and our kitchen counter tops are installed! We leave for Florida this weekend and when we return it is moving time!  I am so thankful for the timing of the trip over Thanksgiving because it is getting harder and harder to wait patiently haha!  We will visit the house one more time before we leave so I will have more pictures then!

Happy Halloween

This year we had a few fun activities for the Halloween season.  Whitney had a Daisy Halloween Hike in the woods that was such an adventure!  The girls wore their costumes and went into the woods during the evening -- along the pumpkin lit path the girls met different characters explaining about seasons, hibernation and animals. This was the first year our church did trunk or treat.  It was a cold night but they had a great turn out and the kids had a blast looking at all the decorated cars in the parking lot! Halloween is such a fun time for kids and we were so thankful the weather was so nice this year.  We obviously don't have a neighborhood yet, were invited to a few by friends and family but ultimately decided to stay around here and go to the hood behind our apartment.  The girls got so many full size candy bars, I dont remember that ever happening to me when I was little?!!!  My mom and Ryan were pleasantly surprised when one of the houses had an...
