Tonsillectomy

Image
Well it was finally time for the dreaded tonsillectomy.  She had strep throat and sinus infections more times than we could count last school year so it was not really an option; especially since every time someone looked in her mouth they said, "wow those are HUGE!" Whit was such a champ before the surgery, she barely said anything about being nervous and was in good spirits the WHOLE TIME.  It was awful watching her go under for surgery but thankfully it only lasted twenty minutes and I got to see her very quickly.  I was up before the nurse even finished saying her name and ran back to her bedside.  Of course she started crying as soon as she saw me and just looked pitiful. I don't even want to think about those first two hours after surgery.  It was miserable for her and I honestly thought I would going to pass out from worry and sadness.  She was in so much pain, kept crying and asking to go home....it just broke my heart.  Ryan even had to si...

Meredith is 3!!

Meredith Lee is THREE!!   She has grown up so much this year.  I remember at the end of summer last year, wondering what it would be like having just her home while Whitney was at school..... we had our moments but she truly began to shine.  She never got that one on one attention like Whitney did when she was younger but this fall she started talking about really learning so much.  She just really blossomed into her own person this year.  She is stubborn and honestly knows exactly what she wants.  She can throw fits with the best of them and over silly things like turning the lights on when she wasn't ready or for turning the oven on before she thinks its dinner time -- Im sure she will outgrow these as they are getting less frequent even now but someday we will look back and laugh at these times :) She is funny and loves to laugh.  Her vocabulary is out of this world and she is very smart!! She pays attention to everyth...

Fourth of July!

Image
I was really missing Granny this fourth of July and told the girls the memories I had growing up and sharing them with her.  She was quite the cook and loved making everyone happy.  She would fry her own french fries and onion rings, make jello jigglers...yum and much more!!  We decided to make our family's special jello jigglers and jello cake in memory of her this 4th of July!  We went to the parade and then onto Jay and Elaine's house for some cook out fun.  Its so nice to have cousins close in age that get along so well together.  Whit even went to a friends house in the afternoon for some fun of her own...shes growing up so fast!!! Love this holiday and that it didn't rain this year!!

Our NEW house!

Image
We have decided to build a new house!!!  We chose the neighborhood of Jackson Woods in Loveland.  The location is great, the back yard is huge, most importantly its private, and we have always wanted to build our own home.  I was nervous going into it because I've heard stories about how intense it is but we really enjoyed it!  Ryan and I know what we want in a house and had no problem during our meeting choosing the finishes we wanted.   The girls are very excited too.  We have driven by so much to see if there has been any progression.  They broke ground last week and starting pouring the footers before the holiday so I'm sure things will go quickly from here on out!  Excited for this fall when we get to see the finished product!
