Meredith is TWO!

Image
Two years??  Wow!  Meredith will be the first to tell you..."Merith two and Whitey five." :) Each day she wakes up asking for a candle to blow out in her cereal and says, "my birfday TODAY!!!!" She is quite the talker these days, even using complete sentences more often than not.  Meredith will tell these elaborate stories and you better hope you know what shes talking about because she will soon leave you in her dust!!  The cutest thing right now is hearing the two girls sing the vacation bible school songs we learned last week.  Mere loves chanting, I love Jesus.  If you ask her who Jesus is she will say, "a people at church"  !! She LOVES being at home.  Even if she is excited to go somewhere, like the zoo or KI, as soon as you get there she says, "go home pease."  I think she is a homebody like her mama!  She loves to play on her own with her babies.  She carries them around, packs her purse and takes them shop...

Summer Days

Image
I knew this summer would be a blast!  Not having to worry about two naps and having an almost two year old this year sure opens the door for a lot of activities! We've been to Kings Island water park a few times, lots of parks, picnics, festivals, and of course our neighborhood pool!! Whitney is a fish this summer.  She absolutely loves to swim and is really good at it.  She can swim longer distances by breathing and not having to touch the ground.  Whit also learned how to jump off the diving board into the deep end and loves it!!!  She dives for sticks and does hand stands too!  Mere loves the pool as well.  She doesnt care if her faces gets wet or if she goes under!  She is floating with her puddle jumper on and is really confident...sometimes too much so!! Its been great so far and we look forward to many more adventures during the second half of our summer!!

Fourth of July

Image
Even though it rained and was kind of a yucky fourth of July weekend, we had a great time.  We went to scene 75, a game place like Dave and Busters, and had a blast playing games with the girls and then the next day enjoyed festivities with the Skeldon clan.  We got halfway through the parade without rain and the girls loved it.  Mere seemed to like everything but the loud fire trucks at the end.  All of us went back to have lunch at Aunt Elaine and Unlce Jays house followed by sparklers and s'mores made in the oven at our house.

Parky's Farm

Image
I took the girls to Parky's farm the other day and they  both loved it.  Whit and I have gone in the past but I knew Meredith would love it because  of her love of animals!!!  She actually liked it but kept pointing to the animals saying, "you big, I no like you!!"  haha! We got to go inside with the chickens, ducks, goats and a loud rooster!  The rooster kept jumping up on the roof of the barn to say cok-a-doodle-do!!! Cool to hear but was a little loud!!  The girls and I also took a tractor ride around the property that was fun!  Great morning with nice weather!!
