Bagger Daves

Image
We made the trip up to Centerville on Monday in order to check out the restaurant that Caleb was opening.   In case you didn't know.....Caleb left Red Robin in order to pursue his dream of creating food and drinks.  He is now very happy in his job as Director of Food and Beverage at Bagger Daves. They are living in Michigan now but this past week he was in Dayton for the opening of a new restaurant in Centerville!  Anyway it isn't everyone that I would drive an hour one way with both girls to visit....this however was a very special trip!  After an hour of screaming in the car Meredith was actually very well behaved while we were there and thankfully slept all the way home. I will always remember this night because I have never been more proud of my brother.  It is evident that he has found his calling.  He is so talented and very easy to work for...according to our very nice server we had that night:).  We loved tasting the various food i...

Celebrating Mamaw

Image
It was a great weekend celebrating Mamaw.  We had everyone, even Caleb and Meg (yay!), over to our house for the special occasion!  It is so much easier having Meredith at home because she really is much more comfortable here, in fact she barely cried throughout the day even though we had so many people inside our house.  The weather cooperated for our grill out and fire even though it was a little chilly.   We had the perfect day with family and the perfect person to celebrate. Happy Birthday Mom!!

Skeldon Family Pictures

Image
My friend Laura took pictures of the Skeldon family because it has been since JJ was a baby that we had it done.  Unfortunately Meredith did not want to cooperate at all.  She is in that "I need mommy and only mommy" stage and if someone even looks at her when she is upset she will lose it.  So she cried almost the whole time, for real the whole time!!   Well its....memories right? The pictures did turn out great and we cant wait to print them out and update!

Daddy's Race

Image
What a fun day we had traveling with daddy to his race and cheering him on!!  Whitney was super excited to be there and even made her very own sign that said :  Go Dad Go Ryan Edward Best Dad Ever Love Whitney Even though it was cold and Mere had a tough time, it was special to see Ryan compete in his first race.  He has been running up to seven miles when he goes out around here so running a 5k was nothing for him.  I may have heard some buzz about doing a half marathon coming up in the spring..... Proud of you Ry!

Happy Halloween!

Image
Whit was so excited about Halloween that she decided she wanted to have a cookie party with her neighborhood friends to help "pass the time" during the day before trick or treat.  She sure is lucky to have such sweet neighbor girls to hang around with. Whitney went longer than she ever has trick or treating and Meredith actually lasted 45 minutes!  We pulled Mere in the wagon and Whitney ran from house to house with her friends so they weren't actually together very much but it was still fun!  We finally had nice weather for trick or treat and loved spending in with family and friends.  Mamaw and Papaw were nice enough to come over and pass out our candy so that we were able to enjoy time with our girls.  After about an hour Whitney was done with candy and we all went back to the firepit with our neighbors.  It was a great night to sit by the fire laugh and play with friends.  Meredith lasted until 8 pm, which is the latest she has been up in ...
