Wii

Image
One very cold and snowy afternoon I got tired of playing babies and legos and decided to get out the Wii.  Wasn't really sure how she would do with the controllers because it can be tricky but she LOVED it.  We worked all weekend on it, her choice not ours, and she is now a pro bowler.  She even beat Ryan in baseball, with my help of course:)  It is too funny to watch this little three year old throw strikes down the lane and hit golf ball perfectly on the green.   On Sunday afternoon while I was making dinner I just had to snap a picture of Whitney sitting on Ryans lap playing Mario Kart Wii.  He had to be in heave because he has zero time to play video games anymore and now his daughter asks him to play all the time.  haha:)

Preschool Update

As I mentioned before, we had a week off of preschool which I think lead to making Whitney very nervous about school.  She had way too much time to think about me leaving and really got herself worked up.  We even had a few nights of crying and being so worried about it.  Valentines Day came (the day she went to preschool) and I tried to get her excited about her party but it really didnt work.  She was sooo worried and was not a happy camper as we got ready for school.  I took her for a special donut before school and she barely enjoyed it because she was so sad :(  I tried everything believe me.  I set up a lunch for Whit and a preschool friend the day before school because I thought it would help.  She and I both wore necklaces that would remind us of each other, she wore my old Angel on my shoulder pin that we said a prayer over, I kissed her hands (just like the book, The Kissing Hand), told her in multiple ways that I would be back and...

Preschool

Whitney started preschool this past Friday!!  She is enrolled in the one day a week program from three year olds at Lakeview! We went into the school to register for next fall and while we were there Whitney said to the director of the preschool that she wanted start that day!!  The director smiled and mentioned to us that there was an opening in the three year old room and that they would love to have Whitney join them.  Whit of course thought that meant the very same day she could start but we did go back the next day to check it out and participate in the class!  She loved it!   Ryan and I struggled with the decision because it is the middle of the school year and she is only three, it is only a one day a week program and she will be starting in the fall no matter what.....BUT my major focus was on what is going to happen when baby number two makes his/her arrival in the summer.  I want Whitney to feel comfortable and not feel that she is bein...

Bowling

Image
We couldn't think of a better way to spend a cold afternoon then bowling.  Whitney bowls at home with her own plastic set but I knew she would love bowling in a real alley!  Mamaw, Papaw and Aunt Kelley had the day off of work so we planned a trip together....along with every other family in the tri state area haha.  Who knew bowling would be so popular!!? She loved it!  They have special ramps for kids to use that allows you slide the ball down and it goes all the way down the lane at a pretty good speed; not sure where these were when I was little, that would have been fun!!?  She used the ramp for a little bit but then opted to roll the ball instead.  She had fun picking who was going to help her roll each time and Aunt Kel happened to get the best results...which if you know my sister,  you know that isn't always true in bowling hahah sorry Kelley:) The first ball Whitney threw was a strike and she got another one later on in the game.  ...
