Swim Lessons

Image
We waited to put Whit into swim lessons until she was 3.  The classes before 3 years old are just "play time" in the water with mom; and we thought that since we do that all summer long and in Florida, she was used to the water without that class.   She was so nervous but excited too.  She cried on the way into the pool because the women's locker room was not pleasant at all for her hahaha....me either;)  We change her in the family dressing rooms but have to walk through the women's one and woah you can get an eye full sometimes..hahaha!!!  But she couldn't wait to meet her teacher and get into that pool! She did so well.  Her teacher is very loving and she thought it was so cool to wear their special floatie and have her own turn swimming with her.  She will not go under and doesn't like her ears to get wet but we knew that already...hopefully this class will help her get over that:)

Celebrating Whitney

Whitney had a full weekend of celebrating her birthday.  Friday night we started at GG and Grandpa's house with homemade cupcakes and presents:)  She made a wish for a every candle she blew out!  Then we went to dinner and she couldn't even finish complimentary ice cream because of her pre-dinner cupcake party!! Saturday morning we had presents and a special breakfast at home before going to her party at Recreations Outlet.  She had 16 friends, plus family at her party and had a blast.  Even though on the way home she told Ryan that she wishes next year she could have a party at home...haha! She also got a package in the mail from Uncle Caleb and Aunt Megan which she loved!  As well as presents from her neighborhood friends. This little girl is definitely special and felt very loved over her birthday weekend :)

Happy Third Birthday Whitney!!!!!

Wow, already three?  Where has the time gone??  It feels just like yesterday that I was feeling her kick in my belly and wondering when she could come out!! Whit brings so much joy to our lives and we honestly love every second that we get to spend with her.  She has such a funny personality, always making silly faces, dancing and saying the funniest things!!  This little girl does not miss a beat, literally listens to everything everyone says and will probably never forget it, haha! I remember last year writing about how grown up she was and how she surprised me with how much she could do.  And as I look back on this last year, I am even more blown away.  She is so confident, loves talking to people...especially our neighbors and any adult that will listen:)  She knows all of her letters and most of the sounds and is very interested in writing and reading.  It cracks us up when she writes because for some reason she needs to shake her head ba...

Merry Christmas!!!

We had three full days of celebrating Christmas with our families.   First I had a Drs appt in the morning where I heard the heartbeat of our little one...which of course started things off the right way:) Then we went to church with the Skeldons and then back to their house for dinner and gifts.  We were going to wait to open gifts until after dinner but the kids were so excited that it ended up happening first!   I was going into it thinking Whitney would open all of her gifts, throw each one aside and grab for a new one but she was unlike any of us thought.  She opened her first gift and literally didnt open another gift for about 30 minutes.  Buzz Lightyear was a hit I tell you.  The only way we got her to open more gifts was to have Daddy hold Buzz so he could watch her open something else.  haha!! The next morning we stayed home and had a nice quiet morning.  Whit woke up and said right away, "Did Santa come?"  She ran in...
