New Interests

Whit changes everyday before our eyes.  We knew it would happen but it is just amazing to see.  This stage in her life is so much fun, she is so verbal and just enjoys playing and having fun with us...we better take advantage of while it lasts huh:) Her new favorite things to do are: 1.Playing at the park of course 2. Taking care of her plants/tomatoes 3. Coloring with markers 4. Riding her bike 5. Playing the piano (or as she calls it the compiano) 6. She also loves being teacher and having "meetings" with mamaw ;) 7.  But the thing she LOVES doing right now is playing doctor.  Probably due to the fact that she loves the show Doc McStuffins but also because its her favorite thing to do with Daddy when he is home. Played a letter "game" with this little smartie and she knew 12 letters!!!  Amazing to think that some of my kindergarten students came in knowing less then that!!! And last she is certainly into tell us how s...

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was great!  I had a great day and we had fun surprising Gammy, GG and Mamaw with their special gifts. Jay and Elaine hosted Mother's Day brunch at their house.  It great to have everyone together and below is the picture of Gammy with her grand kids. After Whitney's nap my family came over to our house for a cookout.  We sure missed Caleb and Meg but had a good time with everyone that was here.  The two pictures are of Whit cuddling with GG and Mamaw (and of course Brody) and then Whit squeezing Gramps toes...he sure got a kick out of that:)

Rocks, Animals and Friends

Despite our awful allergies we went to the zoo and played outside a lot in the past few weeks.  Perhaps that is why Whitney has a sinus infection right now:( We've had a lot of fun with this nice weather, playing with friends, going to the zoo and finding rocks to paint. Whit has even started learning the alphabet.  She knows way more about letters then I knew but we have been playing fun games with letters regardless   She can identify: X, I, E, W, H, T, O, M and L.  Sometimes she will surprise me and just tell me the name of a letter that we haven't talked about...crazy how much she soaks up.   She can also write the letters, X, I, and W. She recognizes environmental print all the time.  Surprises me so much.  She yelled, "Mommy look there is IKEA." as we drove past it on the highway.  She calls Walgreen's the medicine store bc that is where I pick up my prescriptions.  She knows Kroger, Target, Cost...
