Whitney had a big weekend, her first reds game and a visit from her friend that lives in Michigan!!! We started off our weekend with playing with Mamaw and Papaw.  Papaw just came back from Prague and loved spending some extra QT with her.  Whitney even got her nails painted for the very first time by Mamaw!  She loved it!!  She still takes her shoes off and says, booshable!! Deep in conversation and sharing grapes!  Bret has been so patient and never tries to push Whit into being with him.  On Friday it all paid off.  She spent a lot of time with him and kept asking him to hold her and play with her.  Too cute and a wonderful welcome home to Bret!! A three day weekend trip, why not?? I have to admit that I was not a happy camper about going on this trip because I was struggling with Whitney's sleep schedule and wouldn't you know the two nights right before we leave....she sleeps though the night for the first time in WEEKS!!!  Thanks to Ryan we ended up going and truly had a blast.  It was honestly just what we needed.  We are back now and I am happy to say that Whitney slept through the night the past three nights as well :)  Whew. Its only a two hour drive so the four parents (us and the Heimanns) decided to have the girls nap in the car on the way up.  30 minutes was all we were able to get but Whitney was SO good in the car.  I was so happy because we haven't gone more than a hour tops!! We got to our cabin around 3:00 in the afternoon and loved what we saw.  The cabin was down this long gravel road, very secluded and beautiful.  We honestly heard a car pass by like every 15 minut...

Cant believe little Whitney is already 18  months old!!  Time has just flown by!! Here is an update on what our little girl is doing/into these days:) She is currently 24 lbs and 33 inches long.  (75% in height and 25% in weight)  She has 16 teeth and a full head of hair that I can FINALLY get into a small pony tail! Sleeping: We are in a little bit of a rut right now and sleeping is not going so well.  She got an ear infection a few weeks ago and even since then she cannot be away from her mommy.  She cries when I am in the shower and she is standing right outside of the shower door!!  So the past few weeks have been with little sleep and barely any naps.  We are struggling.  But last night was a little better and her nap was longer than usual too, she we are hoping she is back on track.  Before this mess she was sleeping 11-12 hours a night and napping around 2 hours in the afternoon.  Boy do I miss that :) Friendly: She...

Whitney's personality is developing each day and she makes us laugh at all of the silly things she comes up with!!  She also has such an imagination and more energy then I know what to do with haha:)  Here are some of her favorites this summer: Playing playdoh and sitting in her "special" chair.  Her high chair is no more and she loves it!! Playing with purses.  She is very into dress up and loves hiding things in purses.  We ask her, "where are you going?" when she puts on her purse and love hearing her random answers:) She loves going to the pet store to look at the fish and other animals.  She could stay there forever...except for the dog grooming area, she is not quite sure about all of that hair falling on the ground and the fact that nobody stops to clean it up.
