New toys

Image
Just as we all were getting tired of the toys we had on hand, some wonderful friends gave us some new cool things:)  Whit was so excited to get new toys and wouldn't put them down all weekend!!  Her new obsession has become books, which is fine with me, but she just loves her Biscuit touch and feel book along with her new ABC duck book from Elizabeth!!  Her favorite thing is to open flaps or open and shut the book over and over again:) She also loves her new little people animal set that the Centofanti's let Whitney use.  She is fascinated with all the different animals and the noises that come out of the mat! Our crazy month is almost over and I cannot thank the family and friends that helped us out over the last few months because this could have been a lot worse!!  Thank goodness for Whitney, we can just come home and look at her adorable face and forget about Sanborn for a little while <3

Pumpkin patch

Image
Whit experienced her first trip to the pumpkin patch today.  It was such beautiful weather and it wasn't really that crowded either.  The adults had fun throwing eggs, petting animals, sipping cider and taking pictures....next year we will have to do more kid things because Whitney will be down running around.  She was eyeing things and I know if she could walk she would have been off in a second!!

Taking after her Daddy

Whitney loved to listen to Ryan play the piano when she was in my belly and still loves to hear him play to this day:)  Emma and Caroline play the piano so I have little doubt that Whit will be learning how to play soon enough. Jenny took this video of Whitney playing with Emma and it brought tears to my eyes.  I know, such a mom thing to say, but honestly it is so sweet to see her already look up to Emma! Here is my cutie pie in action: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150373546191118&set=vb.815776117&type=2&theater

Busy Weekend

Image
Whit got to spend the weekend with Grandma and Aunt Kelley since Ryan and I were gone due to the craziness at our rental house.  She loved all the attention and we appreciated the help!! Here are a few pictures from her weekend: Playing piano with Aunt Kel So serious:) Grandma was hiding her face behind the camera and Whit was trying to find her...haha smart girl!!

Fall Break

Image
I had the day off today for our fall break and Jenny was kind enough to let Whitney stay with her for a few hours while I ran into work.  Being a part time teacher is definitely NOT "half the work".... I felt guilty leaving Whit and taking Jenny away from her girls but eventually took Jenny up on her offer. Anyway, Whitney loves being with the girls, Jenny, and Tucker.  It makes me feel good to know that she is so happy there. I know I already blogged once today but these pictures were too cute not to share:)  Thanks for loving your new camera Jenny and trying it out on Whitney and the girls...I love these shots! Whit has her head turned because she is watching Emma and Caroline:) Look at the three of them, too cute!!  Poor Caroline's eyes are still healing after her eye surgery. This is special for Caroline because she is usually getting home as Whitney and I are headed out the door, Im sure she w...

Nine Months Old

Image
Whitney turned nine months old on Tuesday (10/11/11).  So many first happened this week as well.  She stood to play for the first time, drank out of a sippy cup, and her first tooth popped through!!! I have been trying without success to get this girl to crawl and suddenly thought you know what, lets walk instead:)  Perhaps it was because my mom showed me a video of a boy that is one day older then Whit and is walking all over the place or maybe it is just the excitement of having her do something so monumental.  We should never compare I get that, it would just be so fun to have our little girl moving around the house!!  So I started propping her up on the couch and she loves it.  She is starting to pull herself up and is getting steadier everyday! I wonder during dinner time if our poor girl needs a drink to help get the food down....she gets that Kermit the frog breathing going on and doesn't always clear her throat ...

Loving Life

Image
Our rental house is a mess, work is stressful, Daddy has been really busy but what is most important is little Whitney Marie.  She brings so much joy into our lives and every time we get overwhelmed or upset we just think of her and smile.  It may not always be as easy as looking or thinking about our dear child but for right now it works and we could not be more thankful for this little bundle of joy. She will be 9 months on Tuesday (10/11) and we cannot believe how fast the past nine months have gone by!!  Whit has changed so much recently and her cute personality is coming out which delights us even more.  Still no movement other than rolling over but she is learning more and more sign language and amazes us everyday.  Her latest thing is to wave; she doesn't just move her fingers to do it, she literally swings her arm back and forth...you cannot miss it!!  Jenny taught her how to say "me" in sign language, so on a good day if you ask he...
